My main guitar is a Valley Arts Custom, serial # 0169, which was built for me by Mike McQuire in ‘86 and I played it pretty much every single day since. It has EMG pickups with a mid booster, which allows me to get a variety of sounds from Rock leads, funky R&B rhythm to hollow body jazz tones. 

The amp I use on all my recordings is a Bogner Ecstasy, played through two Bogner 1x4 cabinets. Bogner amps are hand-wired tube amps built in Los Angeles , Ca. This amp rocks.I also have a late 50s tweed Fender Twin reverb which I love for its full and rich tone.

My acoustic guitar is a Taylor K- 20M. I have one of only 20 made. I found this guitar at Matt Umanov’s store in the West Village in New York . I just had stepped in to kill some time while I was waiting to get a table at a nearby restaurant. When I played that guitar I just could not let go and ended up buying it right there. It has a very mellow sound that just sits perfectly in the track.
